Antoine de Tyssandier is a 34 year old painter living and working in Paris, France. He studied patronage and model making at the Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale, before turning toward art as an autodidact, exploring painting and electronic music since 2015, first through the art collective AHXAT, then as a solo project.
His painting takes root in an interzone, a sort of alternative reality, between abstraction and figuration, where several pictorial techniques intertwine like a multiplicity of different grammars. This meticulous craftsmanship in the creative process results in a dynamic, an oneiric depth, where the materiality of the brush coexists.
He has participated in various collective exhibitions in Paris, with the association Jeune Création, at Thaddaeus Ropac and Komunuma, at the Salon d'Automne in 2020, or in the 35-37 exhibition space, at the Hôtel de Coulanges, or at L’Eclaireur.
Last year was his first fair, with gallery Cécile Dufay, at Affordable Art Fair Brussels.
Antoine de Tyssandier est un peintre de 34 ans vivant et travaillant à Paris. Il a étudié le patronage et le modélisme à l'Ecole de la Chambre Syndicale, avant de se tourner vers l’art en autodidacte, explorant la peinture et la musique électronique depuis 2015, d’abord au sein du collectif artistique AHXAT, puis ensuite de façon indépendante.
Sa peinture prend racine dans une interzone, une sorte de réalité alternative, entre abstraction et figuration, où s’entremêlent plusieurs techniques picturales comme une multiplicité de grammaires différentes. De cet artisanat méticuleux dans le processus de création, résulte une dynamique, une profondeur onirique où coexiste la matérialité du pinceau.
Il a participé à diverses expositions collectives à Paris, avec l'association Jeune Création, chez Thaddaeus Ropac et Komunuma, au Salon d'Automne en 2020, ou encore dans l'espace d'exposition 35-37, à l'hôtel de Coulanges, ou chez L’Eclaireur. L’année dernière, a eu lieu son premier salon international, avec la galerie Cécile Dufay, pour Affordable Air Fair Brussels.
